RoadWaPo profiles Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ): "Sinema is a bracingly unfiltered talker, a precocious achiever, a high-energy persuader, an adjunct professor, a lawyer, a marathon runner, a lover of designer clothes. She is a holder of many, many degrees — this she’s happy to tell you in a humble-braggy sort of way. And she can be a lot of fun to hang out with, a rambling, kind of kooky monologist who can pivot from whimsical and wacky to substantive and earnest without a pause. Krysten Sinema is also — and it irks her to no end that this is such an object of fascination — an openly bisexual woman."

U can spend a whole year praising artists for inspiring work, but one critique gets all the attention. Funny," he wrote. My personal opinion: there were times when the vocals weren't able to convey the power, beauty and grace that the score ALSO calls for."

  1. I hope Ryan plays ball with Morgan when he gets older -- or teach him to shoot hoops.

  2. I love a good candid shot. The baby has great color for one week old. Congratulations...

  3. Cute baby! I am happy their family is happy! But... he's fairly wealthy and lives in a liberal state, why not adopt? There are so many unwanted babies in this world, let alone California. To me, it makes so much more sense to take a child out of poverty and the brutal foster system than it is to create a new one to bring into a life of luxury. Especially for us gays who don't procreate in the traditional sense. I can understand gay and lesbians in the Midwest or south using a surrogate as there are hurdles set in place for same sex couples wanting to adopt, but if you are rich and live on one of the coasts I just don't understand surrogacy! Let's focus on improving the lives of the people already here instead of bringing more people into this imperfect world!

  4. In TV show tradition next season Ryan's child will be five years old.

  5. @CDubois: I agree with you completely!

  6. For those of you who might not know, it is incredibly difficult for a gay couple to adopt a newborn, healthy baby-- it's far easier if you're single, believe it or not! So please don't judge without knowing all the facts and history. (And yes, I realize being incredibly rich and powerful can grease certain wheels, but still.)

I hope Bronson Pelletier will get help.

  8. Well, I'd never expect s anyone to use the words, "power, beauty and grace" to describe a Weber score - except, perhaps, Adam Lambert.

  9. @DannyEastVillage:

By "Weber", do you mean Andrew Lloyd Webber? If so, you're off track. Les Miserables was composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg, with the English lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer.

  11. I used to enjoy hearing my parents talk about their good old days, and at 76 I find myself doing it too. Back in 1955, I treated my parents to a Stage show & movie at the Chicago Theater. For a buck a piece we were able to see Patti Page, singing "How much is that doggie in the window?" And her latest hit "Tennessee Waltz" along with Bill Haley and the Comets... singing "Rock Around the Clock", the younger people in the audience danced in the isles! On the screen was Joan Crawford and Jeff Chandler in "Female on the Beach". Crawford who had to be in her late 50s showed a lot of leg on the big screen. I took my parents across the State Street to Tad's $1.09 Steak House and the whole day was done on a 10 dollar bill! For you youngsters OUT there, today are your good old days and you might nor realize that now.
Chances are you might have to file for bankruptcy to buy 3 adult tickets for a live stage show and the latest blockbuster movie along with 3 meals at Mc Donalds or Denny's!
