This is especially the case when you are sitting at a counter on behalf of the City of Antwerp. May a woman wear a headscarf? Of course, but not at a counter. Counter officials aren't allowed to wear T-shirts with the words 'our people first' either (a reference to one of the slogans of the far right Vlaams Belang). I don't want somebody with a rainbow T-shirt at a counter either, because in this way a homosexual makes clear that he or she adheres to this obedience. Other people recognise this."

  1. Matt Bomer never ceases to amaze me. Astonishing looks, significant talent, inteligent, and above all, a class act all the time. Other stars could learn a few things from this guy.

  2. The Beekman Boys - If I had only one thing to take joy in, the Beekman Boys would be right up there with my own life. Real work and real love together creating an amazing existence. Josh and Brent are the examplars par excellance of how to make it happen and how to make it work. Their blog 'Beekman 1802', their two years as The Fabulous Beekman Boys (, Netflicks etc) and their recent $million win on Amazing Race (plus Josh's two NYT best selling books, The Bucolic Plague and I Am Not Myself These Days) keep them out front where all can see, revisit and be amazed by the two most wholesome and engaging gay men imaginable. Just don't miss them.

  3. He can spew out all the bigotry he wants, but whose career would you rather have: Kayne West and Frank Ocean, or Brand Nubian?

  4. The Beekman Boys have created a little world for themselves, but outside of their products, tourism and TV shows, it's a limited appeal thing. Otherwise, they're overextending themselves.

  5. Kai the homeless hitchhiker...classic video. Hysterical. I like the guy.

And it sounds like Jesus was tripping on something.

  6. ANON - Stuff and nonsense. What's outside of TV shows (film), a growing product line and best selling books? Nothing. Politics maybe - but give them time. Overextending themselves? Your comment makes no sense.

  9. I liked the story about the grandma walking out of a church and telling the homophobic pastor off. Too bad she didn't have a broom with her to wack the pastor's rear end - the combination would have made quite a video!

  10. Thank you for covering the story about the exclusion of the LGBT Vietnamese contingency in the ORANGE COUNTY Tet Parade (not L.A.). Last night, Garden Grove (in Orange County) School Board member Bao Nguyen, with the testimony of about a dozen Orange County LGBT community members, convinced the board to withdraw its use of a district school bus in the parade unless the organizers allow the LGBT contingency FULL participation. Here is a link: More to come!
