RoadAP: Rhode Island marriage equality hinges on religious exemption.

Zarrillo_katamiRoadThe WaPo profiles Jeff Zarrillo and Paul Katami, one of the gay couples serving as plaintiffs in the Prop 8 case: “We talked to quite a few couples,” said Theodore Boutrous, a partner of Olson’s in Los Angeles. He said the discussions were extensive. “We wanted them to know that we expected this to be a major case for marriage equality . . . and that we were trying to change the public dialogue and that they would really be in the public eye.”

RoadKim Kardashian had her face injected with blood.

RoadGay couples could see windfalls from SCOTUS decision: "A decision is not expected until the end of June, but accountants and tax attorneys anticipating the 18-year-old law's demise are already encouraging same-sex couples like Raphael and Meyer to seek prospective tax refunds, back retirement payments and other spousal subsidies they may have been denied."

RoadMale model fix: Kaylan Morgan.

Gordon-levittRoadJoseph Gordon-Levitt works out.

RoadNebraska lawmakers to consider gay rights bills this week: "Lincoln Sen. Danielle Conrad is offering a bill that would ban businesses from discriminating against current or prospective employees based on their sexual orientation or marital status. The bill would not apply to religious groups. Sen. Ernie Chambers introduced a similar bill in 2007, but it was killed by a 24-15 vote. Conrad says she thinks it's a good time to revisit the issue since people are becoming more open to gay rights locally and nationally, especially since the repeal of the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy."

EmoryRoadChick-fil-A is gone for good from Emory University: "Perhaps the franchise’s sales plummeted, or perhaps it simply it no longer fit in the campus’s 'master planning.' At any rate, it is a victory for LGBT students, who will no longer have to encounter a glowing symbol of anti-gay prejudice as they partake in lunch on campus."

RoadFriend: Kate Middleton's brother James is not gay.

RoadMatthew Fox can't stand One Direction because he loves music.

RoadDanny Boyle: Trainspotting sequel with original cast to shoot in 2016.

Road"Undocuqueers" counted in new study: "A report released Friday by the Williams Institute at UCLA calculated that out of the 11 million undocumented immigrants estimated to be America today, 267,000 adults identify as LGBT. Another 637,000 LGBT adults were legal immigrants. Gary Gates, a scholar at the Williams Institute, said that the number was a conservative estimate based on cross-referencing survey data on undocumented immigrants, sexual orientation, along with data on married same sex couples. Gates’ remarks came at an event in Washington, D.C., debuting the finding that was hosted by the liberal Center for American Progress."

  2. A gay building? Seriously, I can't believe how much Towleroad has deteriorated. Cut the immature stereotypes, Andy.

  3. Instead of injecting her face with blood, Kim can just exercise to stimulate the flow of blood to her face. The rich will fall for anything.

  4. It seems like evry time EA wants some good press they bring up that they are pro-LGBT.

While I'm happy they are helping, I do find it a bit annoying that they use it to try and make people forgive or forget bad press like the SimCity fiasco and the microtransaction announcement.

    Big gamer here~

  7. 'Undocumented'? So my mom was 'undocumented' when she came to America and had yet to become a citizen [it took her 7 years]? But she was legally in the country, soooo....I'm so confused. I thought people who were illegally in the country were illegal. Silly me.

  11. Re: Kate Middleton's Brother James being gay. So naked pictures of him and his buddies messing around is now considered a 'rite of passage for the British'. OK...whatever you say 'friend'. Who really cares considering he's not too attractive and obviously afraid to come out. Sad.

  13. James Middleton isn't a bad looking guy, more kinda funky looking, but not unattractive IMHO. I've seen his underwear pics, too. He's no gym bunny, but looks fine to me.

  14. Kaylen Morgan kinda looks like that Portuguese dude who cut off his daddy's balls in a NY hotel room.

  15. Rat,

I prefer the term "undocumented". To call somebody illegal seems wrong to me.
Of course, I'm a liberal. BUT I've heard some liberals use that term (I want to smack the sh.t out of them).

Hey, when you think about it--fifty years ago we Gays were "illegals", in different way. But we were.

  16. Rise, try reading the article next time, rather than racing to the comments section. It's about buildings important to LGBT history.

  21. ODDBET, Rise is a troll who is simply trying to rile up the comments section. He is an alias of Rick/Jason, the main resident troll here on Towleroad. Just ignore him.

  22. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a multi talented performer. His acting is first rate and he is a great song and dance man. His opening number when he first hosted SNL was the best and most energetic opening ever on that show. And, of course as a gay man, I was checking out his guns!!!

  23. @ SNT

If you are condoning the crap Chik-full-of-hate has done, then you are part of the problem. Not "gay inc" as you put it. Take your self-righteousness and stupidity elsewhere. You sound like the right wingnuts who BS about "freedom of speech". This is not about that so shut the f**k up!
