  1. How did the sailor get raped by the superior officer??? Did he actually mean sexual assault?

  2. Can I make a suggestion? Can you please link your photos to the story or the post? If not, maybe a short caption of who it is? Sometimes I end up just trying to guess what the photo is of. Or I click a story thinking it's the one maybe below it or closest to it but it's not. It's super confusing. It would make targeted reading more efficient as there are certain stories that I'm more interested in at certain times. Please and thank you?

  3. Giving up food is pretty easy, it's surprising. Giving up food while everyone else isn't is harder than he made it sound.

But there are things like medifast that you could start with to get used to the idea. His concoction sounds better than medifast. Metagenics makes a meal replacement too.

  6. I met Freddy Mercury in my 20's. I really didn't know who he was. I was too much the star of my own at the time.

  7. I love Candice Glover. This season is quite weak (and surprisingly, very gay), and she is the best singer by far

  9. Crime in the affluent parts of San Francisco and California in general are going way up; lots of armed robberies and lots of robberies of phones. Please be careful and make sure to never walk alone at night in San Fran, or at all, anywhere. Always have your phone in your pocket and never leave it exposed. And always have some form of protection on you---mace, pepper spray, a tazer. Sad but I expect crime in the US to start taking a major increase.

  10. Who would want to give up the pleasure of eating because they are too lazy to cook?! So that's how you get a body like that start working out in 8th grade!!!!

  11. Somerhalter, "'...literally' makes love to the camera..."?
    I don't think so.

  12. That was an interesting performance by Candice Glover. Frank Sinatra learned to sing by phrasing the songs as if he were talking to someone. Candice did the same thing and that's why I felt the pain of the song with her. This particular rendition will be the new banner song for gays. Just terrific. Oh, and I also think American Idol is one of the most garbagiest of TV shows.

  13. Go Ernie Chambers! He makes me proud to be from Omaha. He's been pissing off the good white fathers of this city and the state of Nebraska for four decades at least.

  14. Why are people so willing to give up their connection to the natural world as a living being dependent upon other living sources of sustenance? Is this what the culture of interaction with others via an artificial medium (e.g., the smart phone) has brought us? Seriously? A liquid meal vs. the satisfaction and health provided through healthy eating of real, fresh, natural food? Or a meal prepared with love and intention, over hours, with the love of others in mind? I weep for humanity.

  15. Oh TJ get over yourself, humanity doesn't need your big drama. Laugh more.

  16. Mike Almy is a wonderful guy and deserves every recompense possible for his despicable dismissal...for nothing under DADT.

  17. Agree with TJ, besides, I hate when non-innovation is presented as innovation. The best comment in response to that story was "man reinvents baby formula for adults". This has been around in various forms since the 1940s. Heck, there's even a form you can take by IV! (total parenteral nutrition) Doesn't mean it's a good idea. Some exposure to food toxins actually helps us exercise our immune system. A bunch of purified powders wouldn't do that.
