Thank you to Andy and your staff of equally inspired “seers” who bring to us your understanding of the truly exceptional that surrounds us. Your choice to feature this video clip brought back so many fond memories of when I was 9-years-old and my Dad & Mom encouraged me to go watch up close the cicada emergence after sunset (I slept on the screened in back porch afterward that night, the screens of which gradually becoming covered with climbing cicadas.) Fascinating insight into the endless revelation of so many life forms with whom we share this small planet. Thanks both to Andy, et al, but also for my Mom’s reassurance that cicadas won’t bite or sting and my Dad’s encouragement of me to stay out all night if I wanted to see a miracle of life.

Beautiful, stunning video. Thank you so much for posting this. Definitely gives me a new found respect for all life around us on the Earth. Big and small.

What is it about bugs that 99% of humans find so repulsive? Snakes, rodents, bats, possums, etc., don’t bother me a bit. Had a pet rat for years. But anything with 6-8 legs, big bug eyes, pincers, sorry…even little bitty spiders make me scream like a little girl.
