RoadBreitbart promotes right-wing claim that Hitler was gay: "The theory that Hitler was secretly gay isn’t new in right-wing circles – anti-gay extremists like Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association have been making similar claims for years.  In fact, the “Hitler was gay” claim is part of a broader anti-gay smear which posits that gay men were responsible for the Holocaust and that Hitler intentionally sought out homosexuals for his “inner circle” because their “unusual brutality” made them well-suited to carry out mass genocide. That myth has been widely debunked, of course, and the reality is that gay people were the victims, not the perpetrators, of the Holocaust."

  1. Yes, Rupert dear, that's what it means.

  2. CNN today had pics of Harry's visit to DC. It showed his place setting at the official dinner (at the White House, I assume), and it it read: "His Royal Highness, Prince Henry." Sheesh.

  4. 'Capitol' is the building on Capitol Hill in the 'Capital' city. The building didn't swoon. If anyone could make a building swoon, though, it would be HRH Harry.

  5. The story on Alan Turing deserves much more that a blurb and link in a news roundup.

His is a story of monumentally tragic proportions that should be part of our understanding of our LGBT heroes and history.

Please Andy, Alan Turing deserves far better.

  7. hitler was gay? even if that hadn't been debunked already, so what? napoleon was straight. mussolini was straight. stalin was straight. saddam hussein was straight. bin laden was straight. mao tse tung was straight. kim jong il was straight. well, even david koresh was straight. jim jones. and so on. but you know what they really were? dogmatists and oppressors.

  8. Oh the irony of Bryan Fischer insisting Hitler was gay since Bryan's would be today's version of Hitler if given the chance.

One self-loathing homosexual calling another self-loathing homosexual a homosexual is just almost classic if it wasn't so pathetic.

  9. "grant him the pardon he so clearly deserves"

It's too late for that. He's dead and gone.

What this is really about is reducing the embarrassing stain on the UK. It's a good thing, but let's not pretend Turing is going to get anything out of it.

  10. Jeff

That place setting was actually correct. He is officially Prince Henry but has always been known as Harry

  13. "Self-loathing" is such a tired cliche. And "wingnuttery" is embarassing to read, let alone say. Hitler may have been gay, if that Nazi logo, and stiff armed salute offers any clues.

  14. Agree with Michael, and Jones. Do we need an update every time JB does something? Isn't there a tag on PerezHilton or TMZ people can follow if they need constant updates on him?

And the Turing story is far too important to lumped together w/anything JB related.

  15. If you people don't like an article, SKIP IT!! Someone might want to read the article. Why do you people have to post negative comments? Is it just to see yourself in print?

  16. Mr. Turing was hounded and driven to suicide just a few years after his brilliance gave Britain and the allies one of the greatest tools for winning WW2. It's incredible no one of that time period in positions of authority helped him, or even showed so much as pity. More incredible it's taken til 2013 to 'pardon' him. The use of female prostitutes and wild sexual behavior was commonplace among many guys, especially those in powerful positions, during this time period, and were matter of factly hushed up. Mr. Turings 'crime' was his choice of prostitute wasn't female.
