  1. Yes, Melissa, just breathe deep, rub a gluten-free lemon all over your chichis and you'll never get cancer. What a dumb ho.

  2. Melissa is way out of line. She has no right to criticize other people. I had a kidney removed because I had cancer, and it wasn't a fearful choice at all. In fact, it was one of the smartest things I did. Now, four years later, I am cancer free. Melissa should mind her own business.

  3. FAIL, Melissa! And we see MARdonna is still ripping off iconic images Dietrich created all these years later.

  4. The Indiana BMV, Indiana state government in general, is so pathetic. What an incredibly petty "battle" to fight.

  5. 1) Someone tell Tom Ford that he has already been doing that for years now.

    2) Shut the hell up Cindy McCain, all that means is that you think you and your waste of a partner will let up on it.

Why aren't the McCain's locked away in a home already? I thought Megan was trying to help people?

  6. @ "....Dietich created"

    Dear Mr Bedwell,

I know for sure that you know your diva history. Now, do we really know who was first to create that look? Was it Dietrich,Josephine Baker, Anna Mae Wong, Gladys Bentley? or was it Gertrude Stein (she was the most fabulous of all in her tux)

  7. Oh, I'm sorry, Mr Bedwell, you didn't mispell "Dietrich"--I did. But I got Wong wright.

  8. Didn't Melissa Etheridge ditch her children with her exes?

Given Jolie's reasons and her closeness with her family, I'd say it is a given Etheridge doesn't understand Jolie's motivations.

  9. Derrick, "the answer is in the third magazine." WAIT! That's Jack telling Will and Grace how to figure out if the man they're both hot for is gay.

WILL: In his bathroom, he had three magazines – and one of them was Martha Stewart’s Living.

GRACE: He also had Basketball Digest.

JACK: Ah, you both make compelling points, but I believe the truth is to be found in the third magazine.

WILL and GRACE (together): Vanity Fair.

    JACK: Unless it’s Vanity Fair.

In this case, the answer depends on which of the women in question had the most exposure to the most people, which without argument is Dietrich who had more than all the others combined based on the size of her movie stardom which began while wearing a top hat in 1929's German "The Blue Angel" and continued with full tails and top hat in Hollywoods' "Morocco" in 1930, and the endless publicity she got off screen for wearing tuxedoes, men's suits and hats in "real life," and the length of her career overall including the last twenty years of it when she was doing nightclub appearances and concerts around the world whose reviews always mentioned her switching from dazzingly sequined see-through gowns and a huge, long-trained coat made of white swan's down into top hat and tails.

And I wasn't the first to label Madge "MARdonna." I believe it was the "New York Times."

  10. After reading Ethridge's actual remarks, I don't see what people are being such little bitches about. Did you actually read what she said ? It's not as though she doesn't understand the issue, as a woman who's dealt with the same issue, has had chemo, and posses the same gene. Come on, you've just made yourselves look totally idiotic. The author of the article is just another little media whore, and you're suckers. She was asked her opinion, as a woman who's dealt with breast cancer. Try reading her actual remarks, and please STFU.

Cindy McCain is just telling everybody what the polls already clearly indicate - that support for SSM isn't going to wane - quite the opposite. I take this as just another positive sign of progress, and can hardly find fault in her observations. That so many little insignificant queens can't enjoy for a moment the obvious victories really speaks volumes about the twisted clinging to victim-hood too many gay people indulge in. Maybe it's time to evolve a little, at some point politics is all about making friends with your enemies.

Tonight I'll light a candle in Michael Hastings memory. He was a nice guy, a sweet man, and braver than most. Gone at 33, with his whole life ahead of him - my sincerest condolences to his family and friends...

  11. You are right Pookie. Melissa isn't saying you can avoid cancer by rubbing lemons on your body, and anyone who says that certainly didn't read the article.

We don't know why some people contract cancer, but we do know that people who eat right and get plenty of exercise are at LESS risk for cancer than those who don't. Therefore, even if you have the gene, it is not a given that you actually develop the cancer, and if you live a healthy lifestyle, you give yourself the best chance to avoid it. And if you avoid it, then there is no reason to undergo surgery.

And surgery itself has many risks and is quite costly. Not everyone has a gold plated health insurance that will pay for all that. Those are two things that Jolie never mentioned, nor have her supporters.

If she wants to undergo preventive surgery, go ahead. But it is not the only choice, and it may not be the best choice. Anyone who disagrees with that can't think straight.

  12. I wouldn't take Cruz too seriously. He's lipless and disgusting looking. Totally not presidential.

    Posted by: Munro | Jun 19, 2013 6:20:59 PM

  13. Lemon chichis here. I did read Melissa's article in its entirety. She implies - idiotically - that lifestyle choices, such as eating well and living stress-free, are somehow curatives for breast cancer, ignoring - again, idiotically - how vastly different the medical choices can be relative to your exact type of breast cancer and how far along it may or may not be. Moreover, who the hell is she to assume that Jolie hasn't been "eating well" of living "stress free?"

But the worst of it is to label a woman who's had a mastectomy as one who's acting out of "fear." This is loathsome beyond words. However a woman chooses to treat her own cancer is brave. Period.

  14. Actually, Madonna looks like Bette Davis.

    Posted by: Paul R | Jun 19, 2013 9:59:12 PM

  15. Madonna did an homage to Dietrich because she launched her MDNA concert film last night in a theatre that Dietrich opened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the 40s. It made perfect sense and Madge hasn't looked this good in years. Flawless.

  16. Cindy McCain has emerged from her regeneration pod, wiped the half-chewed kittens off her chin, and spoken!

Would that the "No on 8" duct tape were permanent.
