Sandy Rios To Gays and Liberals: 'God Will Even The Score'

Sandy Rios
LGBT people and their allies have scored decisive and historic victories in recent months, both here in the United States as well as around the globe. Such rapid progress is almost certain to prompt a verbal backlash by opponents of equality. However, one recent comment made by ultra-conservative and vocally-homophobic radio host Sandy Rios proved to be a bit more ominous than usual:

"I would not want to be in the shoes of any of the left right now. I would not want to be in Barack Obama’s shoes. I would not want to be in the shoes of homosexual activists. I say that with humility and with fear for them because God will even the score, he will sort things out, he will be God and he will not be mocked. Whereas they think they are getting away with breaking all kinds of moral laws and mocking everyone in the process, they just don’t know God, they don’t know who they are up against and we do. And that should bring out some mercy in us because I wouldn’t want to be—what did that old evangelist say: ‘it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God.’"

Thankfully, Rios' diatribe does not appear to be a veiled threat that references any specific retribution that should come from this so-called "angry God". Nevertheless, these comments come as part of a trend of especially violent comments that Rios has been making as of late. She has also recently expressed her support of the massacres taking place in Egypt, saying that she was "grateful" and claiming that the more than 600 victims were not "innocent". She also expressed an opinion that Muslim-Americans do not deserve to be protected by the First Amendment.

  2. Ah, Ms. Rios, who sure do worship a funky God - one full of homophobic hate with a smite-them-dead bent. If you think God's gonna even the score, you better watch out, honey, 'cause his itch to smite might begin with the likes of hate-mongers like, well, let's see, like YOU!

  3. not hard to see the cold meanness under that "smile." And her god's just like her.

  4. If this was indeed how God works, it would go better if He was a little nicer to the Christians so we'd know the difference between wrath and favor. Last I saw they were getting a little banged upped in tornadoes, hurricanes, car accidents, etc., just like the rest of the world. Of course, when it happens to them, it is to sharpen their faith, not to punish.

  7. We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who
    Comes on at five
She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam
    In her eye
    It's interesting when people die-
    Give us dirty laundry

  8. If God wanted to even the score, he'd give this hateful hag permanent laryngitis.

  9. There are no gods, there is no God.

  10. Isn't it funny how everyone's god is just like them? No one tries to be Godly anymore, they try to make God more like them instead.

  12. @Jerry...exactly. And the irony will be that she'll be the one God gets even with for being so egotistical...

  14. Even the score? Where did she get the idea?

  15. Cherry Picker!

She's cherry picking what suits her and her cause only, all the while making Jesus cry with her new version of Christianity. This seems to be a trend amongst the new desperate wave of faux Christians. They are just trying to get negative pushback to feed their self serving claims.

  16. Sandy Rios implicitly PLAYS God in this clip, and clearly asserts that her(supposedly God's) judgment ahold be on gay people, and through the guise of comments about "an angry god" hints that violence/harm against gays is a just response.

I'm sorry, but Sandy Rios is a demon. She is not of God, and does not know God. But all those Teachings of Christ that she blatantly violates is not my concern.

My concern is the earthly harm she is trying to gin up against gay people. Sandy Rios has a white sheet in her closet with eye-holes in it, and she doesn't keep it to wear on Halloween.

Somehow, Rios has convinced herself that she's doing God's work. So sad. But not as sad as the violence on gay people that she causes.

  17. She needs mental health services. Advocating, and appreciating violence, is a serious problem.

On another note, she's apparently just "hand picking" some passages of her holy book she likes, instead of reading all of them. I doubt that shirt she's wearing is a single fiber fabric. We won't even start on the bacon issue.

  19. Pardon my French, but she is a card carrying C*U*N*T. Just look at that smirk. Thankfully, there is no angry God. If there was, I'd watch my back if I were her.

  20. Silly woman, your god is in your imagination.

As real as unicorns. Hush Now.

  21. Hmmm. As I recall the Bible has some rather harsh things to say about women who dare to preach to men. Funny how she ignores that part to attack someone else.

  22. Gee. Isn't Mr. Gawd always "angry". Ew. Sounds like a nasty piece of work. He obviously has 'issues'. Dangerous Mental-illness, fer sure.

  23. If your god were real, I'd be far more worried about all those divorced people who remarried (about half the country) than the 2-3% of people who are gay.

  24. How wonderful it must be for her to live in a place and time where she can afford to have such beliefs. In Egypt right now Coptic churches and towns are being burned to the ground and the Christian community is in hiding just to stay alive. But this woman's god is more concerned about gays mocking it. How blessed she must be that her god has given her with such an easy life that she can complain about minutiae while others are suffering for their beliefs.

  25. How odd,I only thought evil Muslims were the ones that called for punishment and death for people they didn't like.
