Florida Tea Party Leader Says Gays Have Taken Over Local GOP

Danita Kilcullen

Co-founder of Tea Party Fort Lauderdale and Danita Kilcullen is absolutely losing it that the Log Cabin Republicans in Broward are actually having influence within the Republican party. In response to an email from Andy Eddy of the local Log Cabin Republicans, Kilcullen ranted:

We must fight with all we have... We must put  pressure on the House like has never been seen before.  I'll be damned if I will ever be forced to hire someone with orange hair, body/neck/face covered with tattoos, multiple piercings, or a man in a dress... or for that matter, a demonstrative effeminate male or purposeful butch-looking female.  The Log Cabins are the same lobbyist organization that has all but taken over BREC; and besides that, we have someone on the Board of BREC who is using her position to openly put pressure on some BREC members to stand for same-sex marriage.

Kilcullen, someone who isn't in the position to be denigrating the physical appearance of others, is a convicted criminal who was arrested in October 2010 for felony battery of a police officer but plead guilty to trespassing and a lesser charge of misdemeanor resisting arrest.

  1. Typically oppressive projection. As the article indicates, it's more than a little ironic (and frankly amusing) that someone so unfortunately hatchet-faced would have issues with "butch" women.

  2. And I'll be damned if I will ever be forced to hire someone with what has got to be the least flattering haircut in the history of hairdressing.

  13. So she's a police batterer as well as a tea partier. Two and two plus "I'll be damned if I will ever be forced to hire someone"....

  14. Danita may actually be a closeted liberal. She will only refuse to hire people "covered" with tattoos. A few are probably OK. Only "demonstrative effeminate males" need not apply, which means your OK if there is just a hint of mint about you. A few piercings may even be OK with Danita, she will only exclude those with "multiple piercings" and it's only the "purposeful butch-looking females" that she won't hire. Dykes that are just butch looking naturally, like Danita, are OK. The woman is a screaming liberal.

  15. While I don't agree with many of her stances, she's spot on when it comes to employers being forced to hire trannies. Sexual orientation has no impact on your job performance but companies that are forced to hire shims could see a tangible loss of profits and customers as some guy in a dress and a bad wig flaunts his hairy fake boobs at customers and even children.

I think it's ridiculous that these "people" are trying to hijack ENDA legislation and get their pet cause added on to something that has nothing to do with them. If they want people to bow down to their crossdressing fetish or whatever then they should try and get it passed by themselves and not hold the rights of LGB people hostage to their demands.

  16. The comments were great fun (and, really, the only point of reading this post) until the usual idiocy showed up; thanks boys, most of you. BTW, the leading Croatian homophobe also has a Maggie-ish bob--it must be a prerequisite for the job.

  17. "someone who isn't in the position to be denigrating the physical appearance of others?"? Really guys, stooping that low?

    Posted by: Miller | Dec 1, 2013 5:53:07 PM

  18. ERNIE I guess it's idiocy to recognize when one has nothing in common with people? Or that one shouldn't make their livelihood contingent on whether or not someone can pee in the girly room?

  19. How's that boycott of all the local gay hairdressers working out for ya, lady?

  20. If I opposed ENDA, I would use Rick's logic to oppose equal employment opportunities for L, G, and T people. He posts, and maybe correctly, that those forced to hire "shims" could see a tangible loss of profits and customers. It may be equally true that someone forced to hire effeminate gay males or butch dykes may also face the loss of profits and customers. Maybe the B's are safe because we can't pick out those rascals for our intolerance. If ENDA is enacted all will be guaranteed Equal Employment Opportunity. There will be bumps in the road early on in the laws implementation, but in the long run it will make America a better place for ALL. Remember the days when Black folks couldn't work in most professions, eat in restaurants with whites, had to sit in the back of the bus and in the balcony of movie theaters, marry whites, go to the same schools with whites etc etc because their very presence offended the sensibilities of most whites? Thankfully those days are over and the days of discriminating against LGB AND T folks are numbered. This nation and all of Western Civilization is moving toward EQUALITY.

  21. Can someone here FINALLY say a good word for the Log Cabin Republicans? This woman's anger is proof that in some areas at least, socially progressive Republicans are starting to have success in transforming the local party into a more tolerant place.

    Go Log Cabin!

  22. Yes, I've noticed that a lot of homophobic women have this haircut. I guess it will get known as "the bigot bob!"

  25. The only comment of hers I agree with is that I also, as a small business owner, would not hire someone with neck tattoos. They are tacky and ghetto.
