  1. Another great song from Arcade Fire and really impactful video. Is Andrew trying to tell us something?

  2. Andrew has always been a vocal fan of the LGBT community. He's also straight. Don't try to imply that our allies are gay.

  3. Can I just say a pre-emptive "F*ck off" to the commenters here who will inevitably say that trans issues have nothing to do with LGB people, and we should sever ties?

This is great, and I'm glad Garfield is doing this. We need more of it.

  4. Thank you JerriBlank! It makes me so sad when I see people on here posting horrific anti-trans comments.

  5. I love it when talented, known actors take on non-traditional roles like this. Pretty bold, even if just a music video.

Hope Andrew continues to find success. He seems like a sweet guy in the few interviews I've seen.

  10. Andrew Garfield is a DOLL but I don't think he's a very good actor. Then again, I haven't watched this yet.

  12. @ MIKEY: how do you know he's straight? Because he's photographed kissing Emma Stone? You know, he could be bi. Or acting.

  13. BTW... I'm not trolling. Dead serious about the question! And would love an answer!:-D

  15. @Robert, if you doubt Garfield's abilities as an actor then you should view "Never Let Me Go" and "The Social Network".

  16. well Andrew Garfield just gained a new fan. I think i shall try those spider man flicks now.

  17. Beautiful. That made me cry and I don't know why.

  18. For awhile now Arcade Fire has been my favorite band when I first heard the song I instantly identified with it. This takes it to a whole new level though and gave me chills. Garfield is so believable and by golly totally gonna have to at least watch spiderman now.

  19. This was interesting until the bikers in the bar harassing and it turned cheesy and banal pretty quickly. The dancing midway through seems random. It's not a well-thought-out video.

  20. Andrew does look smashing, though.

  22. @ "Gross and disturbing."

Rick, you used Tyler's posting name, but we "Towelroad regulars" recognize your nastiness.
Do you realize how your penis is shrinking with every nasty deed you do on this blog?

But maybe you don't care. You're turning into "Enchantra". You don't want penis.

  23. "Don't try to imply that our allies are gay."
Yeah Mikey, because implying or thinking that someone is gay, for whatever reason, is still such a terrible thing and we might scare our straight allies away. Right? Bite me. You're almost as bad as any homophobe.

  24. That was a good video.

  25. This video is amazing. And the dance sequence is awesome and not at all out of place.
