Jody Hice, the wingnut Republican nominee for an open House seat from Georgia, has called on Congress to ban the federal government from “discriminating" against anti-LGBT Christians, reports Right Wing Watch.
Hice's outburst came last month following President Barack Obama's executive order banning federally funded organizations from discrimination against LGBT employees.
Hice claimed that the executive order "is almost like a thumbing of the nose of the president at the U.S. Supreme Court, at our First Amendment, at our unalienable rights … How else do you look at this but a thumbing of those nose of our administration at our First Amendment and our Supreme Court at the same time."
Hice called for a repeal of the executive order and for legislation prohibiting the government “from itself discriminating against any individual or any group or organization, whether nonprofit or for profit, it doesn't matter, to prevent the government from discriminating based on the beliefs about marriage and sexuality."
Earlier this year, Hice alleged the gay community has a secret plot to recruit and sodomize children.
