Republican Congressional Candidate Jody Hice Calls For Legislation Banning 'Discrimination' Against Anti-LGBT Christians: AUDIO

Jody hice

Jody Hice, the wingnut Republican nominee for an open House seat from Georgia, has called on Congress to ban the federal government from “discriminating" against anti-LGBT Christians, reports Right Wing Watch.

Hice’s outburst came last month following President Barack Obama’s executive order banning federally funded organizations from discrimination against LGBT employees.

Hice claimed that the executive order "is almost like a thumbing of the nose of the president at the U.S. Supreme Court, at our First Amendment, at our unalienable rights ... How else do you look at this but a thumbing of those nose of our administration at our First Amendment and our Supreme Court at the same time."

Hice called for a repeal of the executive order and for legislation prohibiting the government “from itself discriminating against any individual or any group or organization, whether nonprofit or for profit, it doesn't matter, to prevent the government from discriminating based on the beliefs about marriage and sexuality."

Earlier this year, Hice alleged the gay community has a secret plot to recruit and sodomize children

  1. Nice diversionary move by Republican scum here.

The reality as we all need to be aware of is that issues like gay rights, abortion rights; immigration are merely diversionary tactics to hide the reality that the USA is an undemocratic oligarchy, and that there is no tangible difference between the Democrats and Republicans - both parties are fully in the pockets of the corporations which have hijacked our democracy.

How does the US become a democracy I wonder.

  2. It's true... both major parties are owned and operated by the same corporate interests. It's shameful. However, when one looks at the platform for each party, there are some significant differences when it comes to equal rights for GLBT people. It's often a hold-your-nose thing, but there are some differences between the two. Not to say that I'm super excited about the Democratic party, but the Republicans have been in bed with the bigots for decades. Of course what the bigots don't or can't or won't understand is that they are welcome to hate gays or anyone else. They just can't restrict their civil rights under the secular law.

  3. the only thing that slightly comforts me when i read stories like this is that, as time moves on, losers like this will barely be a tiny footnote; an insignificant doofus on the wrong side of history who did no service to anyone but himself.

meanwhile he believes he's upholding some righteous command directly from a non-existant god, fighting for justice and waiting for accolades from the masses, as if he's a hero of some sort.

makes me wish i could still be alive in 100-200 years to see and hear people laugh at him and his ilk.

  5. Just wait until the Republicans take over the Senate in November. Then you'll see the difference in the political parties.

  8. In about 20-30 years, thankfully, these people will be dead.

    DEAD AND GONE.

  9. Jody Hice is just telling his people: "I'm one of you, I'm a fellow bigot".

BTW Jody is such a perfect trans name.

  10. He looks OK. Then he speaks and it is living proof that a man can live without a brain. Such people are called Republicans!

  11. He thinks gays have a plot to sodomize children. He's been going to the wrong meetings.

  12. Where in the hell do those idiotic evangelical Tea Battys get the idea that they are being "discriminated" against? What is it with them and their faux "victim" mentality? Such things are to be considered pathologically delusional if not psychotic.

  13. When the victimizers can't victimize anymore, they call themselves victims.

  14. Okay - it appears that my comments for whatever reason don't show up here, and yet totally racist ones do, or ones that say literally the same thing I wrote. So I have to assume that this is some kind of local club where only the cool kids get in - which is a super way to kill your web traffic. I've defended this site a lot, but....eh. Thanks for the good stuff, see ya.

  15. Why do these evangelical guys all look the same? The weird plastic hair? The curled grin? The squinty eyes? Are they really hybrid alien creatures? What planet would make such creatures?

  17. and we need that kind of legislation for?!?!??!? This is not a first amendment right, but rather a pubic accommodation issue and in reality it is a stupid issue, because it is a non-issue.....these moronic right wingers can say anything they want, but they think that being "forced" to make a cake is a first amendment issue and it is NOT.............

  18. Exactly Johnny. The Milkman guy sounds sincere, but he is seriously misguided. There is no comparison between the parties on gay rights. And the more fringe Democrats are more liberal on everything including gay rights, and the fringe of the Republican party is not only defining the party but are narrow minded retrograde reactionaries. Like this guy - and willing to turn legal logic (or any logic) on its head.
