Bilbo Braves the Treacherous Waters of Office Politics in New SNL Skit: WATCH

Snl

Worlds collided on last night's SNL as the show mashed together two of Martin Freeman's most memorable on-screen roles - Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit and Tim Canterbury from the UK version of The Office.

Because after you've gone "there and back again" to save Middle Earth, there really isn't much left to do besides go work at a paper company run by a wizard who always seems to be making inappropriate sexual or racist jokes.

Get Spoiled This Thanksgiving With SNL's Back Home Ballers: VIDEO

Back Home Ballers

As our friend Dorthy pointed out so long ago, there's no place like home. As the ladies of Saturday Night Live have recently added, being back home is baller. Being waited on hand and foot, inputting insanely complex WiFi passwords, and slouching about the house all day long are surely as much a hallmark of the winter holiday season as any stuffed turkey.

You can add Cameron Diaz and Your Girls to your holiday rap soundtrack in the music video AFTER THE JUMP...

SNL Tackles Network TV Diversity With New Sitcom Featuring Gay, Interracial Dads: VIDEO

Dudleys

In a clip airing during last night's SNL, network execs for the family sitcom The Dudleys respond to concerns about a lack of diversity by doing away with the show's white, straight couple and their two gender-conforming girls.

In their place: an interracial gay couple raising a militarized little girl and "Crazy Eyes" from Orange is the New Black because...comedy.

Cheeky social commentary or missing the point?

You be the judge, AFTER THE JUMP...

Stefon Returns to SNL's 'Weekend Update' with a Big Surprise: VIDEO

Snl_stefon

Bill Hader's return to SNL would not have been complete if Weekend Update NYC correspondent Stefon had not accompanied him, and thankfully, Stefon arrived during the second half of weekend update with a plug of the happening nightlife in Mayor DeBlasio's New York. And some big news of his own.

Michael Che also made note of the historic week that marriage equality had this week. Bad news for the deadbeat gay boyfriends out there.
