Lisa Whelchel has been cast in the upcoming Survivor: Phillippines.

Will she clash with the lesbian from Arkansas?

Says Whelchel to Zap2It: "I would love to be able to show a different image of a Christian ... [Many people] think that -- and unfortunately it's well deserved -- Christians are about separating and dividing, and less about accepting and including. I would like viewers to see that with all this diversity in the tribe that I genuinely am interested in and care about people and who they are, where they are."

Survivor's Despicable Gay Republican Contestant and His Mom Apologize for His Hateful Remarks: VIDEO

In March, I posted a clip of Colton Cumbie, the gay Republican contestant on Survivor: One World spewing hateful and racist remarks at his fellow contestants. Cumbie subsequently had to leave the game because of a physical ailment but not before becoming one of its most memorable (for the wrong reasons) and disliked players.

On last night's Survivor finale reunion, Colton attempted to explain his remarks, as did his apologetic mother.

So How's the Gay Republican Doing on 'Survivor'? - VIDEOS

Back in January I noted that Colton Cumbie (above, right), a gay Republican, was set to compete in Survivor: One World, and was being billed as a villain.

So how's he doing?

Well he's exposed himself as a racist, calling the African-American stand-up comic Bill "ghetto trash" and telling him to "get a real job" and explaining that he has Black people in his life (his housekeeper), and insensitive to little people (he calls Leif an "Oompah-Loompah" to his face, and says "that little Munchkin needs to get knocked back to Oz."

In other words. the villain thing is going as planned.

Gay Republican to Compete in New Season of 'Survivor': VIDEO

The new cast of Survivor: One World has been announced. It includes a gay Republican, who's being billed as 'the villain':

Of course, no Survivor is complete without a villain, and Probst says this season’s baddie comes in the form of gay Republican Colton Cumbie. “He doesn’t know it, but he is a full-on villain. He thinks he’s the most charming guy ever. He’s a devil and I don’t even think he’s disguised.”

Gay Self-Proclaimed 'Daddy Bear' to Compete in 'Survivor: South Pacific': VIDEOS

Mark-Anthony Caruso, a 48-year-old gay retired NYPD detective and self-described "daddy bear" has been announced as a cast member of the upcoming Survivor: South Pacific.

Caruso's Survivor profile:

''I call myself Daddy Bear,'' says the openly gay former NYPD morgue detective. ''I'm older, wiser, and cuter, I guess. No, I'm kidding. I'm not cuter.'' One thing he's not kidding about, however, is which two former players he'd like to see return this season. ''I would like to see Jane. And I know people may not like hearing this, but I like Russell. I do! I just like him! I worked in the New York City police department for 20 years. There's a thousand Russells!''
