Tweeted Lambert vefore the video's premiere this morning: "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."
GLAAD stepped in this week after finding that 29% of the comments on Yahoo!'s website on a new Lambert interview violated the company's terms of service by threatening the singer:
One commenter wrote, "This is why a concentration camp is needed for homosexuals," while another said he wished Lambert would die by suicide.
Perhaps most disturbingly, one commenter posted, "It would make my day if someone was to do to him what those men did to Matthew Shepard," an openly gay University of Wyoming student who was brutally murdered in a bias-motivated crime in 1998.
According to the organization, Yahoo! suspended commenting on the interview and promised to work on ways to implement safety for LGBT people online.
