Last month, we posted "Testimony", the Stephen Schwartz collaboration with the SF Gay Men's Chorus which turned portions of Dan Savage's "It Gets Better" project into a choral anthem about coming out and living powerfully.
Videographer Sean Chapin produced a mini-doc about the making of the video. He writes:
The video, which is essentially an It Gets Better video, covers the journey that chorus members experienced in singing "Testimony" during Spring 2012, as 44 chorus members talk about how hard life was when they were growing up to the point of some trying to take their life, then talk about how much better life got for them as adults, experiencing exciting adventures and being able to sing with each other – all within the context of this song. Also shown in the video is footage of us singing the song in various settings (first run-through, rehearsal, retreat, director's prelude), leading up to the Skywalker Sound recording.
