Although entirely sane in presentation compared with the usual hate-speech from Focus on the Family, a report on how to protect your church from lawsuits if SCOTUS rules in favor of same-sex marriage loses all sense of logic by suggesting worried Christians should contact “wonderful partner organization” Alliance Defending Freedom
Although entirely sane in presentation compared with the usual hate-speech from Focus on the Family (FOTF), a report on how to protect your church from lawsuits if SCOTUS rules in favor of same-sex marriage loses credibility by suggesting worried Christians should contact “wonderful partner organization” Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
ADF, regular readers will recall, is an anti-gay Christian litigation group that has defended companies that have discriminated against gay customers and lobbied for an anti-gay marriage referendum in Slovakia.
In the latest FOTF Citizen Link video, pundits recommend that churches use ADF's Protecting Your Ministry document which attempts to convince churches that laws preventing businesses from discriminating against gay customers are actually part of a wider aim to “compel Christians to accept, endorse, and even promote an ideology and behavior that violates their faith.”
The ADF document also claims that “those advocating for homosexual behavior and transgender ideology will eventually target anyone who blocks the path of their political progress – including you and your ministry.”
