Breitbart journalist Ben Shapiro has filed a police report against transgender reporter Zoey Tur following a heated exchange between the two on HLN's Dr. Drew On Call Thursday.
In the televised segment, Shapiro tried to derail the discussion about Caitlyn Jenner with a transphobic tangent about genetics and “mainstreaming delusions.” He then proceeded to ask Tur “What are your genetics, sir?” – prompting the Inside Edition reporter to grab Shapiro and tell the right-winger, “You cut that out now, or you'll go home in an ambulance.”
Shapiro later claimed Tur threatened to “curb stomp” him after the segment.
Sunday morning, Shapiro filed a report of battery against Tur to the Los Angeles Police Department. He explained his reasoning to Breitbart, saying: “Just because the left has designated someone a member of the victim class does not mean that that person gets to infringe the rights of others. Until the left learns that, their aggression will not stop.”
He added that he will be pursing any possibility of charges regarding alleged criminal threats.
