Trying to decide which woman should appear on the new $10 bill? Why not pick one who made it her life's goal to fight the rights of lesbians and women in general?
Someone like Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly, who earlier this year called on states to defy the Supreme Court on any pro-equality marriage ruling and has claimed marriage equality advocates are consumed with the desire to “wipe out the Christian religion.”
Right Wing Watch reports that attendees at a recent Eagle Forum exhibit were “gifted” with the decorative toilet paper mock currency pictured above, along with misleading pamphlets that stated:
- “When doctors work on someone with AIDS they put on two pairs of gloves, a full gown over their clothes, a mask and goggles”
- The “dangerous” birth control pill “can make you sterile”
- “Using rubbers (condoms) to prevent AIDS is like playing Russian Roulette—your life is at stake!”
- Social studies classes in American public schools are “anti-Christian” and “pro-Islam” and that government schools are trying to “promote atheism, homosexuality, and disrespect for parents and their values.”
- Public schools are pushing “pagan” worship and have made sure that “children are bullied into accepting evolution as scientific fact against their Biblical beliefs.”
- Parents should consider homeschooling to avoid pagan and God-ignoring” influences of public schools
- Gay “conversion” therapy is wrongfully considered “brainwashing” and “negative”
- “Embracing and mainstreaming transgenderism could be more dangerous than providing therapy to help children adjust to their biological makeup.”
