Donald Trump earned another endorsement from a right-wing nutjob yesterday in St. Louis. Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly took the podium to urge her followers to vote Trump.
Schlafly, a longtime Trump booster, shares Trump's suspicion of vaccines, international trade and immigration.
Most recently, she urged the government to organize “railroad cars full of illegals going south,” predicted that Central American immigrants would spread Ebola throughout the U.S. and called on Major League Baseball to ban foreign players “and return our national pastime to Americans.”
Schlafly, best known for her activism against the Equal Rights Amendment and the feminist movement, has blamed campus sexual assaults on women focusing on college and careers, told colleges to reduce female enrollment, repeatedly praised the gender pay gap and consistently claimed that married women can't be raped by their husbands.
Of course, Schlafly also hates gays too. In recent years she has called on states to deny the Supreme Court's marriage equality ruling and accused gay activists of trying to “wipe out” Christianity.
