A new trailer for the Star Wars story Rogue One has just been released and there's a lot to unpack.
We find out some more biographical details about the film's heroine Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and about her father, Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen).
The father-daughter relationship will play a crucial role in the film, as evidenced by the new trailer. We see Jyn as a little girl hiding when the empire comes for her father. Before leaving her, Galen tells her, “Jyn, whatever I do, I do it to protect you.”
We then learn that Galen is the key to the Empire's plan to build a major weapon of mass destruction.
Remember, this is an origin story.
And oh yeah, we get a bigger peak (but still just a peak) at the return of Darth Vader.
