Donald Trump discussed pulling a stunt as he left Walter Reed Medical Center last week that would impress people and paint himself as a superhero.
The NYT reports: “In several phone calls last weekend from the presidential suite at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Mr. Trump shared an idea he was considering: When he left the hospital, he wanted to appear frail at first when people saw him, according to people with knowledge of the conversations. But underneath his button-down dress shirt, he would wear a Superman T-shirt, which he would reveal as a symbol of strength when he ripped open the top layer. He ultimately did not go ahead with the stunt.”
In related news, Trump's doctor claims he is no longer contagious: “This evening I am happy to report that in addition to the president meeting C.D.C. criteria for the safe discontinuation of isolation, this morning's Covid P.C.R. sample demonstrates, by currently recognized standards, he is no longer considered a transmission risk to others. Now at day 10 from symptoms onset, fever-free for well over 24 hours and all symptoms improved, the assortment of advanced diagnostic tests obtained reveal there is no longer evidence of actively replicating virus.
