Watch: Rick 'Frothy Mix' Santorum Wants to Reinstate 'DADT'

Santorum

Putting himself in line with Republican presidential hopefuls Haley Barbour (R-MS), Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) and Mike Huckabee (R-AR), former Senator Rick Santorum told the Wonk Room's Igor Volsky in New Hampshire that he would reinstate the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy should he be elected President.

  1. Looking backwards should always be the focus of a man named 'Santorum'.

  2. Because kicking people out of the military is a sure fire way to create jobs.

  3. He'd also like to repeal the 13th, 19th and 21st amendments. For starters.

  4. He was trounced by Bob Casey Jr in Pennsylvania but now he thinks he's presidential material? Haha! This is great! I would love to see him and Michele Bachmann and Mike Huckabee try to out-crazy each other on questions of abortion and contraception. Don't forget, Santorum favors laws prohibiting contraception.

  5. Polls show an overwhelming percentage of Americans wanted DADT ended. The Republican 'base' (meaning those who vote in the primaries and thereby choose the candidates who run) would like to bring this back. This presents a problem. To get the nomination you have to take a position that means you are less likely to win the election. And Democrats love this kind of thing.

  6. Sure would be interesting to know who's funding his "campaign" and those of the other dimwits "running" for president.
