Secret Service Investigates Ted Nugent Threat Against Obama at NRA Convention: VIDEO
The Secret Service is reportedly looking into remarks made by rocker Ted Nugent at the recent NRA convention:
"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."
After attacking liberal Supreme Court justices who Nugent alleges "signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense" Nugent added, about Democrats: "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"

Said the Secret Service to NY Mag: "We are aware of it, and we'll conduct an appropriate follow up."
RWW adds that Romney sought Nugent's endorsement and agreed to his demands to win it.

Air Force Staff Sergeant Anthony Loverde, Fired Under 'DADT', to Return to Active Duty
Staff Sergeant Anthony Loverde, discharged in 2008 under 'DADT', will be the second service member reinstated to active duty following the repeal of DADT in September 2011, Servicemembers Legal Defense Network reports:
Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) and the law firm, Morrison & Foerster today announced that their client, Staff Sergeant Anthony Loverde, discharged in 2008 under the discriminatory "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" DADT law, will be reinstated in the U.S. Air Force and will return to active duty. He will take the oath in Sacramento in May 2012 and be assigned to the 19th Operations Squadron at Little Rock AFB in Arkansas.
"I am honored and humbled to return to the service of my country and the job I love. I am grateful to my legal team and all of those in the armed forces who helped to facilitate this reinstatement. I am eager to take the oath and get to work," said Loverde.
Loverde's reinstatement is the result of a resolution on his behalf in the historic case, Almy v. U.S., filed in 2010, which challenges the constitutionality of the three plaintiffs' discharges under DADT and seeks their reinstatement to active duty.
Towleroad featured Loverde's story in May 2010 as part of SLDN's 'Stories from the Frontline' campaign. You can revisit it HERE.

Family Research Council's Tony Perkins Links Secret Service Prostitution Scandal with Repeal of 'DADT'
Family Research Council president Tony Perkins discussed the "growing number of top Republicans who are donating to pro-gay causes" with right-wing radio host Janet Mefferd yesterday. Mefferd noted "the extent to which the GOP doesn’t want to fight on this issue anymore" and Perkins asserted it is causing a breakdown in moral order evidenced by the Secret Service prostitution scandal and the repeal of 'DADT', Right Wing Watch reports:
Just for a moment step back and look at the implications of this, over the weekend we saw the news of the President’s Secret Service detail in Colombia and the issue of them hiring prostitutes and now the White House is outraged about that. Actually in a meeting this morning my staff asked, ‘why should the President be upset’? It was actually legal; it was legal there to do that, so why should we be upset? Well, the fact is we intuitively know it’s wrong, there’s a moral law against that.
The same is true for what the President has done to the military enforcing open homosexuality in our military. You can change the law but you can’t change the moral law that’s behind it. You can change the positive law, the law that is created by man, but you can’t change the moral law, it’s wrong. So what you have is you have a total breakdown and you can’t pick and choose. Morality is not a smorgasbord; you can’t pick what you want. I think you’re absolutely right, this is a fundamental issue going forward because if we say ‘let them do what we want,’ what’s next? You cannot maintain moral order if you are willing to allow a few things to slide.

Iowa Gay Teen Suicide Victim's Pinterest Page: When I Get Married
Kenneth Weishuhn had a Pinterest page called "When I get married." Devastating.
At least in Iowa he could have.
Although the bullies that never grew up (Bob Vander Plaats, Brian Brown) are working as hard as possible to take that away too.
