UPS Dumps the Boy Scouts Over its Anti-Gay Policies

The UPS Foundation, which gave $167,000 to various Boy Scouts of America entities in 2010, said today that the organization is no longer eligible for grants due to its anti-gay policies, GLAAD reports:

UpsThe UPS Foundation posted the following on its site:

The UPS Foundation seeks to support organizations that are in alignment with our focus areas, guidelines, and non-discrimination policy. UPS and The UPS Foundation do not discriminate against any person or organization with regard to categories protected by applicable law, as well as other categories protected by UPS and The UPS Foundation in our own policies. These include, but are not limited to race, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or military status, pregnancy, age and religion.

UPS confirmed to GLAAD that under these guidelines, which UPS said have been in development for several months, organizations that are unable to attest to having a policy or practices that align with the Foundation’s non-discrimination policy will no longer be considered eligible for funding.

Homophobic Pastor Ken Hutcherson Says the 'Sissified Evangeli-fish' of the Right Wing Need to Get Tough Against the Gays

HutchersonAnti-gay pastor Ken Hutcherson says conservative groups sidelined him and that's why his home state of Washington lost the battle to stop same-sex marriage. In addition to that he is furious that gays stole the rainbow:

I am sick and tired of the homosexuals taking words that God has given us, I am sick and tired of the homosexual community taking our rainbow when God gave us that promise that He would not destroy the earth with water again. We have just become irrelevant, we are just sissified, we are evangeli-fish with no spiritual vertebrae and we need to wake up.

Anti-Gay Marriage Propagandist Frank Schubert Says Election Losses 'Don't Signal Any Shift At All' in Public Opinion

Frank Schubert, the advertising propagandiast and mastermind behind the Prop 8 ads and the ads in all four states that lost same-sex marriage measures this last election, suddenly thinks the losses have no significance:

Schubert"The activists in the homosexual movement are very aggressive trying to spin the election results as somehow signaling a big shift in public opinion on the issue of gay marriage, when in fact it doesn't signal any shift at all," he remarks.

Schubert goes on to explain that last Tuesday, traditional marriage lost in liberal states by a relatively small percentage -- even though its supporters were outspent considerably. He also told OneNewsNow that the poll should reassure traditional marriage proponents the movement is still very much alive.

He has to think that. His career depends on it.

Writes Jeremy Hooper:

Interesting, huh? In the run up to the election, Schubert & Co. told us that everything was riding on these state battles and the presidential contest. But now that the everything that they told us was at stake blew up in their faces, with American reelecting its first pro-equality President and defeating discrimination in four states, we are are suddenly told that the historic outcome was of no significance whatsoever. Isn't that convenient?

In his appearance with Taylor Lautner on Ellen, Robert Pattinson discussed the possibility of more Twilight films, floating an idea about how they can keep the franchise fresh:

"I was also thinking another way to do it would be to make it look like Will & Grace, where Edward turns gay. But they still stay together. And they raise the kid and everything."

Lance Armstrong Flips the Bird at the International Cycling Union: PHOTO

Lance Armstrong clearly has no shame about the doping scandal that stripped him of his Tour de France titles, posting this photo to his Twitter account in what Yahoo Sports calls "a finely-honed troll move."

Tweets Armstrong: "Back in Austin and just layin' around ... "

Writes Yahoo!:

Now, obviously the UCI wasn't going to come into Armstrong's house and yank the jerseys off his walls. (The International Olympic Committee could be a different story. They have ordered disgraced medalists to surrender their medals in the past.) But even though Armstrong has removed the Tour de France victories from his Twitter profile, he's clearly not relinquishing the titles in the public eye.
