  3. Interesting article about the Muxes. They do not identify with Transgender nor Transsexual. I guess, because their presence/status was openly accepted long before Western culture began to dominate Mexico.

Many of us are cuturally open-minded, or atleast I try to be. So, you are whatever the hell you tell me you are.

  5. The Pitre car dealership lawsuit is shockingly titillating and scandalous.

Now, how do I get a job application?

  6. Fascinating that the archbishop had to be told that taking money from the poor to build a mansion for himself was wrong. Catholicism is a culture built on authoritarianism and a morality that isn't ethical. People who actually have a genuine ethical code would have known it instinctively.

  7. Bishops of the RCC are essentially "groomed" to act like medieval Italian princes. If you think the aristocracy is just a-okay then you'll have nothing to object to here.

  8. It's not Calvin Klein. The item says "designer," which Klein hasn't been since he sold his name to his company and left.

  9. Hey, Bishop! Whatever happened to "poverty, chastity, and obedience"? Not much of that in your life. Well, at least not the first one.

The RC church is fundamentally corrupt. But everybody knows that already.

  11. So what kind of values and accomplishments do you have to possess to make it onto the "Trans 100" list? According to their website:

"Nominees must be currently working to improve the lives of trans people.

Nominees must be doing work that has daily life impact in the service to the Trans Community . . .

The key question to ask is this: what are they doing to make life better for other trans folk in their daily lives?"

You notice that helping PEOPLE doesn't count. If a transgender were to feed starving people in South Sudan, that wouldn't get her onto the Trans 100 because the starving people were not trans, but just "cis scum". Nor does helping the planet count for anything. If a transgender helped save lowland gorillas helped clean the Gulf of Mexico of BP oil, the trans activists couldn't care less.

No, the only thing that matters is whether someone is "in the service of the trans community." Selfishness is a virtue among transgenders. They care only about themselves, no one else. And BTW, you will notice that there is no mention of "LGBT" on that site. Service to the "LGBT community" won't get you onto the Trans 100 unless you are really "in the service" of the T.

It seems that that LGBT is used when it is time to make some new demand on LGBs or to grab some of our money. But they are perfectly happy to drop it and refer to the T-only community when it suits their interests.

  12. "This is not about a woman's body."

What is that thing the "baby" is enclosed in then?

I support abortion including into the 3rd trimester (week 28 and onward) because some complications that should be handled via abortion are not known until that time, and doctors have been so hounded throughout the US that simply getting an appointment is a time-consuming process.

  16. Tourist "sights" are also "sites" so I give a pass on this editing choice...once.
Mississippi--it's so such more fun to spell aloud than to think of as a place where non-white-not hetero-not Xtian-non male people have to live.

  17. When are people going to realize that the Catholic Church is an unholy debacle of exploitation of the poor, with pedophile priesthood all trying to do the impossible, deny their own biological urges, and stop giving money to this church.

People who continue to give money to this church are giving their stamp of approval for the centuries of crimes commites aginst humanity, torturing and executing people in as many cruel and imaginative was as they could contrive, and have given their stamp of approval of the raping of children.

  18. Andrew (Rick), you're trolling poorly. You're not adequately conveying how icky you think transgendered people are. Because that's the crux of your argument: Trans people are gross and you wish they didn't exist.

    Posted by: Tyler | Apr 2, 2014 8:49:46 PM

  19. It takes bold imagination to turn the VanderPlop into a cartoon. Unfortunately, there are enough Iowans and others who wouldn't get it. They--and out of state carpetbaggers--make it possible fot that otherwise unemployable git to stay off welfare. Iowa is such an odd place: I know, 'cuz I was born there, didn't get away until I was 18, and wouldn't be too terribly distress if I could afford to live in Iowa City.

  21. @Randy, you said
"This is not about a woman's body."

What is that thing the "baby" is enclosed in then?

It is NOT about a woman's body. The woman's body may be holding the baby, but that baby is a separate, living human being. We are now talking about 2 bodies, not just the woman's body. Abortion is murder.
