Ann Coulter Won't Pick Up the Tab for Sodomites, Gay Bathhouses: VIDEO

COULTER

A Geraldo at Large discussion about Bloomberg's various public initiatives turned into an Ann Coulter tirade on sodomy, AIDS and gay batthouses, Mediaite reports:

Coulter was not having any of it. She tore into Bloomberg by suggesting we just be done with it already and "have a death penalty for smokers," before changing the subject to the negative behaviors that liberals are unwilling to stigmatize, such as illegitimate birth.

Geraldo Rivera's efforts to corral the segment away from unwed teen pregnancy were for naught. When Roth made the claim that bans on various unhealthy activities are warranted because "we pick up the tab" for other's bad habits, Coulter countered that "I think you're going to have to do something about the gay bathhouses."

"AIDS is very expensive, and if I'm paying for it, how about discouraging that behavior?" she explained.

Later, while clarifying that she doesn't actually want to ban homosexual activity, she told Roth, "If you're argument is 'Smoking: we all have to pay,' then why not 'Sodomy: we all have to pay.'" She told Roth that a consistent position on "nannying" would require her to be "anti-bathhouses" in addition to anti-smoking.

Ann Coulter Tells Roomful of Booing Students that Gays Can Marry — 'a Person of the Opposite Sex': VIDEO

Coulter

Ann Coulter was booed by a roomful of Libertarian students from the International Students for Liberty Conference in Washington, D.C. when she brought her uniquely disgusting worldview to a debate with John Stossel.

Asked Stossel: “Why can’t gays get married like straights do?”

Spat Coulter: "Well, they can. They have to marry a member of the opposite sex."

"This is another one where you’re just sucking up to liberals when there are big fights we really need to be having.  Marriage is the most important institution to civilize young people. I want to make divorce a lot more difficult too. Liberals want to destroy the family so that you will have one loyalty - and that is to the government."

Ann Coulter Calls Obama a 'Retard'

Ann Coulter's latest inflammatory tweet is drawing outrage from pretty much everyone:

"I highly approve of Romney's decision to be kind and gentle to the retard."

GOProud Founder Chris Barron Stands By 'Strong Ally' Ann Coulter

ChrisbarrontConservative author Ann Coulter thought herself a laugh riot when she responded to national coming out day with a day of her own, "disown your son day". Most people with common sense found her comment to be deplorable, but not gay GOP activist Chris Barron.

Barron, a cofounder of the group GOProud, said that criticism of Coulter is "laughable". From The Advocate:

Coulter ally and GOProud cofounder Christopher Barron, however, told The Advocate on Wednesday, that GLAAD was overreacting to the author's joke.

He added that he knows Coulter personally, and that she "has been a strong ally of gay conservatives. Indeed, Ann has gone into the lion's den at places like CPAC to make the case that gay people should be welcomed in the conservative movement. The criticism of Ann by an organization like GLAAD is laughable."

Barron criticized the organization for honoring blogger Joe Jervis of JoeMyGod.com after he and GOProud's leaders engaged in a verbal battle in recent years.

"As long as GLAAD thinks that is acceptable they can spare me the trumped-up selective outrage over a joke made by Ann. Putting GLAAD in charge of what passes as acceptable or unacceptable discourse is a little bit like putting a pyromaniac in charge of the fire department.

Yes, because the GOP's moralistic legislation stays away from defining "acceptability."

Ann Coulter Announces 'Disown Your Son' (for Being Gay) Day

Tweet_coulter

Coulter tweets: "Last Thursday was national 'coming out' day. This Monday is national 'disown your son' day."

GLAAD reacts:

I recognize that this is a joke, and that she is not really taken seriously in any context anyway, but with this coming right after National Coming Out Day, at the start of Ally Week and just days before Spirit Day, I thought this would be a good opportunity to talk about this idea of hers. There was a time in our culture's history when, if thousands of LGBT kids were to come out on the same day, the next week genuinely would be exactly what Ann describes, all across the country. Fathers disowning their sons and kicking them out onto the street. Mothers locking up their daughters or sending them to charm school. Children forced to undergo electro-shock or even worse forms of "therapy" to rid themselves of their orientation. To learn how to not be true to themselves.

And although we've come a long way from those ideas as a cultural collective, I have no doubt that last week, more than a few American households experienced the tragedy that Ann joked about. Approximately 50% of LGBT youth experience some degree of family rejection. There are as many as 100 thousand homeless LGBT youth on our nation's streets, and it's estimated that LGBT youth make up as much as 40% of our nation's homeless youth population. LGBT youth who are completely rejected by their parents are more than 8 times as likely to have attempted suicide. Pretty funny, right?

Ann Coulter Tries To Convince Bill Maher Racism Ended In 1964: VIDEO

Coultermaher

Bill Maher was more than happy to debate conservative author Ann Coulter on his HBO show last night, and she was more than happy to bring her best, brightest theories, like the idea, the basis for her latest book, that racism is over here in the United States.

Watch her attempt to convince her host of something so obviously not true AFTER THE JUMP.

Maher also spent some time last night picking apart the 34 various calamities anti-gay group Focus on the Family claimed would come to fruition should Obama win in 2008, including their fears that abortion would be free on demand, guns would be seized, the Boy Scouts of America would be abolished and the pledge of allegiance would become a thing of the past. None of those things happened.

Watch Maher and Coulter's exchange AFTER THE JUMP.
