While many of you were protesting, on Saturday, Obama launched what has become a presidential tradition — a weekly address. But while FDR began it on radio, with a fire crackling in the background (thus, the “fireside chat”), Obama has taken the tradition into the 21st century by speaking to the nation on YouTube.
So while the message this week was important, it was the messenger that made the news.
