Twenty "protestors" turned up to yesterday's Atlanta City Council Public Safety Committee meeting to express concerns about last Thursday's raid by Atlanta Police on the Eagle bar, 11 Alive reports:
"Patti Ellis, who has a gay son, was one of those protesting at Tuesday's public safety meeting. 'I want to have confidence in the police department again becausewhat they do for us in fighting crime is just unbelievable,' she told11 Alive News. 'But that was not fighting crime,' she added, 'that was going in there and harassing people who are gay.'"
