Yesterday, actor Colton Haynes opened up about his struggles with anxiety in a series of tweets.
Haynes first re-tweeted an article from Upvoted about a new study on how anxiety may affect social status. Haynes followed it up by writing, “For those of you who are suffering with intense anxiety…ur not alone. It’s been a constant struggle for me since 5th grade. It’s a battle.”
Haynes recounted that he had been hospitalized “a countless amount of times” for a variety of conditions including “fainting, hyperventilating [and] seizures” all related to his anxiety. He added that anxiety has affected his work life and his personal life, having quit jobs and flaked on social gatherings with friends and family as a result of his struggles.
