Jacksonville, Florida locals have expressed shock at an anti-gay sign outside a church reading “Homosexuality is a sin choice. It does not trump my bill of rights.”
The sign was posted outside the First Conservative Baptist Church on Old St. Augustine Road.
Church Pastor Gene Youngblood (right) has a history of erecting offensive signs – last May he caused a furor with a sign reading “Homosexuals must repent or go to hell.”

Local resident Marisol Riddell said:
“It's always too close to home whenever there's bigotry or homophobia because I love all of my neighbors.
“We have people from all walks of life. I've seen gay and lesbian couples walk up and down the road here and I would hope that they all feel comfortable and included. It does make me sad that sign is out there.”
Youngblood declined to comment because he did not want to be misquoted.
St. Augustine is currently considering expanding its Human Rights Ordinance to protect LGBT citizens.
