It's been ten years since Brokeback Mountain was released in theaters. Which naturally begs the question, why hasn't it been recreated with senior citizens cast as the leads?
Luckily, YouTuber Matthew Hoffman has taken on the task of recreating one of the film's most iconic scenes (think “I wish I knew how to quit you”) with senior citizens stepping in for Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.
The video is part of Hoffman's “Tuesdays with Matthew” series where he recreates iconic scenes from famous movies with seniors playing the leading men and ladies. All he needs to execute his vision are a few good costume items, a green screen, willing senior citizens, and some cue cards.
100% of the monetization from the views of Hoffman's YouTube videos will be donated to the local senior center he works with and Meals on Wheels.
