Christian Mermoud posted this video to YouTube last week depicting a slow, hypnotizingly beautiful, and extremely powerful avalanche of snow which took out trees on its way down the mountain. Mermoud and his companion have nerves of steel.
It's not clear where this took place, but those of you in the path of the oncoming winter storm should probably avoid situations like these.
