Jack Falahee has given his fans and followers an insight into what it’s like to film a gay sex scene.
On Friday, the 26-year-old actor live-tweeted and Instagrammed the preparations he was going through to get ready for a sex scene he was about to film for ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder, in which he plays the rakish character Connor Walsh.
Falahee opened with a quip about the awkward-ness of filming such a scene, tweeting, “I’m putting a cock sock on to film a scene and all 4 of my grandparents are still alive.”
Which prompted this pitch-perfect response from one Twitter user whose GIF game is strong.
Falahee then revealed that while sex scenes are meant to look natural, the preparation is anything but. He tweeted, “The amount of make up and baby oil to do a naked scene.. I did not wake up like this. #nude #mybody #bodyimage”
One artful (and kinda thieving) Twitter used responded to that tweet with a screen grab of a Snpchat Falahee had apparently sent of him shaving his chest for a shirtless scene. It’s not clear when that Snap was sent.
Falahee also shared a photo on Instagram of him in hair and make up prepping for the shoot. Notice the breath freshener in the foreground.
Captioned “Tattoo cover up for my nude scene”, that cover up was presumably applied for this guy.
Falahee also shared a photo of the choice of undergarments (the aforementioned cock socks) he was given to wear for his sex scene.

Back on Twitter, Falahee said that he was sharing some of the unglamorous gritty bits about filming a sex scene because, in his words, “I just want people to know that men also can feel this way about their bodies.”
Immediately after filming his scene, Falahee said he binged on a bevy of foods that would normally not be recommended to ingest before a sex scene. He tweeted, “FYI I ate 3 slices of pizza, half a box of Girl Scout cookies, 3 meatballs and a bunch of burrata after my shirtless scene.”
