  3. Oh, my. Don't start my Island Fever to raging. Gay Papis with children.

Seriously, the Bronx article was wonderful. I admire gay people who take on the responsibilty of raising children...from a distance. I'll remain an uncle, thank you very much...and probably an old Auntie-eventually.

  4. Andy,

Sarah Palin's lip liner? Come on! I don't like her at all but isn't covering this just as pathetic as the coverage of Hillary Clinton's wardrobe or the musings if she had Botox?

There are so many other things about Palin that deserve to be attacked other than her looks! Why doesn't someone mention her inability to speak in formal English? Have you seen an interview where she doesn't use "yeah"?

Attack her lack of qualifications, intelligence, understanding of economics, etc. but not her looks.

  5. Noah... the thing is, tattooed lip liner is a form of false appearance. Almost everything about Palin is a falsehood. And it's not attacking her appearance as much as expanding on how tacky she is in every regard.

  6. Before it gets blown out of proportion, I'd just like to say that the graffiti thing is NOT representative of the atmosphere of the University of Iowa or Iowa City by any stretch of the imagination. Iowa City is probably the most liberal town in the Midwest (among other things, city law forbids discrimination based on sexual preference or gender identity) and we have a sizeable (and pretty vocal) gay population.
