  1. Alas, the once-promising "Courage Campaign" doesn't know shit from Shinola about DADT and damn little else in the gay community.

A few months back they were trumpeting the new out gay head of the California legislature the first in history. WRONG, children.

DADT's fate, and more to the point the fate of ENDING DISCHARGES remains only a possibility not a fact.

But if this means Courage Campaign will stop sending me pitches for money to help them end DADT, drool on, ma chere, drool on.

  2. You'd have to be a masochist to wear a bikini while serving coffee in the Castro.

Oh wait, that shouldn't be a big problem.

  6. I've lived in Tijuana almost my whole life, and I can easily tell you (like Ted) that Tijuana has had a gay pride parade at least since 2007. You can find amateur cellphone videos of it on YouTube.

Choices Baja is organizing the first 'festival'-like experience, where they'll close-off three blocks of Revolución Avenue to have various merchant booths and three performance stages. Half of downtown Tijuana, however, is being re-paved so closing even more streets to vehicular transit is not exactly the best idea right now.

Now, up until 2006 or 2007, Tijuana's gay community (and bars & clubs) would celebrate its pride by feeding-off the San Diego, CA gay pride festival. Still very popular with the under 21 Americans or those looking for 18 - 21 twinks, though there's been a recent trend in letting minors into gay clubs for them to stay financially afloat.
