Conservative Pundit Ben Shapiro: If You Think Jason Collins is a Big Deal, You Hate America - VIDEO

Earlier this week, Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro tweeted "So Jason Collins is a hero because he's gay? Out standard for heroism has dropped quite a bit since Normandy."

Piers Morgan asked him about the remarks on his show last night, and Shapiro replied:

"Let me ask you something. Why do you hate America so much that you think this is such a homophobic country that when Jason Collins comes out it is the biggest deal in the history of humanity? President Obama has to personally call him to congratulate him."

Answers Morgan: "I think you might be homophobic simply because you said, why is Jason Collins a hero because he's gay? Why sneer at a guy for coming out when he's being courageous?"

Says Shapiro: "I'm Jewish. I wear a yarmulke on TV. There's a lot of anti-semitism...Being who you are in 2013 in America is what America is about. It is not heroic to be who you are publicly. I'm glad for Jason Collins if he feels that he's going to live a happier life now. But it does not make you a hero to be who you are."

Piers Morgan Interviews Jason Collins' Ex-Girlfriend, Asks if He Apologized to Her: VIDEO

Last night Piers Morgan interviewed Jason Collins' ex-girlfriend of eight years Carolyn Moos (a former WNBA player), about her reaction to the news that he is gay.

Said Moos: "He actually called this past weekend and we spoke a couple of times on Monday, so it's really fresh in my mind. It's going to be a process, absolutely, and it just takes a lot of perspective, and a lot of understanding, and a lot of open conversation."

Asked Morgan: "Did he apologize to you?"

Replied Moos: "I think he's in the process of taking ownership of the here and now which is actually coming out. That can be very – I assume – overwhelming."

Piers Morgan Asks Michael Reagan About Anti-Gay Remarks: 'If I Don't Mention Those Things You Don't Invite Me On'' - VIDEO

In a column published earlier this week, Ronald Reagan's son Michael demanded "moral outrage" from churches over same-sex marriage and said it's a "slippery slope" to alternative relationships and amoral things like polygamy, murder, and sex with animals.

He joined Piers Morgan last night to defend his remarks, reiterating that marriage equality would lead to polygamy, and then suggested that he makes such remarks just to get on TV:

"I pay attention to what's being said in courtrooms. These are the questions being asked of those people fighting for gay marriage. So, why aren't you upset with everybody else? Why are you only upset with me? If I don't mention those things also, to tell you the truth, you don't invite me on."

Michelle Shocked Tells Piers Morgan She's Not Homophobic, Audience Couldn't Accept Her 'Reality': VIDEO

Singer Michelle Shocked joined Piers Morgan last night for her first interview since her "God hates fags" rant which caused cancelation of her entire tour.

Morgan asked her about the rant, and she gave a (surprise) nonsensical response:

"I admit I made a mistake, Piers. If I had the chance to do it again, I don’t think I would have taken the audience up on their choice. I had presented an entire performance, and I framed it as ‘truth,’ and then I came out back for an encore, and they requested ‘reality.’ What has consequently taken place ever since then is my manifestation of how little I think of reality. I know that it’s a stock in trade for a lot of the media to present things like that’s how it really is. But I don’t think the audience was ready for the consequences of that, and I surely have not been happy with it.”

Later Morgan asked her if she is homophobic and she began giving a dumb explanation that somehow her words would have meant something else if the whole thing hadn't been recorded:

"On the surface it sounds really bad. It's not really a point worth making but the show is supposed to be live, not recorded...To me, it's an important difference but I don't think I have time to go into it right now."

Then, pressed:

"If you want to keep this simple for the audience, let me just give you a straight, 'no, I'm not homophobic'."

Suze Orman Destroys Conservative 'Scholar' on Marriage Equality: VIDEO

Didn't have a chance to post this yesterday but it's a must-watch clip.

Heritage Foundation Scholar Ryan Anderson has been making the rounds on media to tout "traditional marriage". The other day I posted a clip in which Anderson was blasted by Don Lemon, who called Anderson's assertions that same-sex marriage is not illegal "absurd."

Tuesday night Anderson appeared on CNN with Piers Morgan and insulted Suze Orman's relationship to her face during a discussion about marriage equality and the Supreme Court.

Anderson complained that SCOTUS was upholding "our constitutional authority to have a debate" on gay marriage, agreed with an assertion by Morgan that he would defend a convicted felon's right to get married over Suze Orman's and then continued with this bull-pucky:

"The primary function that marriage serves in every society is protecting the rights of children. Everything we've discussed so far has been about adult relationships."

Said Orman, who was far more calm and collected than many would have been:

"I feel compassion for you, and I'll tell you why. I know that you believe very strongly what you believe, but I also know that you're very, very uneducated in how it really, really works. And I believe from the bottom of my heart that if you really, really understood why the government does need to get involved, why it does need to be legal on a federal level, if you really understood that, there is no way that you would sit there and say what you are saying right now."

Dick Morris: I Don't Believe the Courts Should 'Jam' Gay Marriage 'Down Anybody's Throat'

Piers Morgan shredded political strategist Dick Morris last night for his disastrous predictions of a Romney landslide, an error for which he has been cast out from FOX News.

Said Morris: "I was wrong. I was wrong at the top of my lungs."

Later, the discussion veered into one about the GOP and its positions on social issues, like abortion and gay marriage.

Said Morris:

"My view on gay marriage is that if a state decides to go for gay marriage, the legislature or the voters, that's great. That's up to them. I've got no problem with it. I don't believe that the courts should jam it down anybody's throat.

As for his personal view? "If people want it they should be able to do it but it's got to be a decision of the community."
