An Arkansas judge has ruled that three same-sex couples can now amend the birth certificates of their children to name both parents.
Following the June Supreme Court ruling striking down same-sex marriage bans nationwide, the three female couples challenged the Arkansas Health Department’s Vital Statistics Bureau’s refusal to identify them as adoptive or biological parents.

According to AP, the ruling applies only to the three couples who brought the suit. Fox said he would consider broadening his finding to include all gay couples with children in the state.
