Minnesota's Marriage Equality Bill Coming This Week: VIDEO

Minnesota Senator Scott Dibble is introducing marriage equality legislation this week, he told WCCO:

Dibble believes this legislation has the momentum to pass after voters defeated a constitutional amendment that would’ve strengthened the existing gay marriage ban.

“It’s just simply an amendment that removes the restriction that disallows some couples from getting married,” Dibble said. “My strong sense, even from folks in greater Minnesota, is that they’re comfortable with this, they know that Minnesota has changed a lot and is continuing to change at a very rapid pace.”

State Representative Karen Clark is expected to introduce a similar bill in the House. Neither she nor Dibble expect a vote on their bills until later this session after the Minnesota Legislature passes budget bills.

Gov. Mark Dayton has said he will sign a bill legalizing same-sex marriage if it reaches his desk.

Sarah Palin to Address CPAC

Once again, CPAC is blooming with new ideas:

The American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC, one of the oldest and largest yearly gatherings of conservative leaders and activists from across the country, announced Monday that the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, who recently parted ways as a paid on-air analyst for Fox News, will address the conference.

"We are pleased to again welcome Governor Sarah Palin to CPAC in March," said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. "Governor Palin electrified the crowd in 2012 and we are thrilled to welcome her back this year."

Gay Wedding Video of the Day: Randy and Allen

Randy and Allen were married in Rochester, New York in December after being together for 16 1/2 years, surrounded by their family and friends. They were married by the judge who helped them adopt both their sons (below).

The pen that is shown in the video is the same one that Andrew Cuomo used to sign marriage equality into law in New York state. One of their state legislators got the pen after Cuomo signed it into law, and they were able to use it.

Man's Family Celebrated in Spectacular, Adorable Tribute Video: WATCH

Last May, Isaac Lamb's lip-dub proposal to his girlfriend went mega-viral (we featured it here).

Isaac this week published a new video, a special tribute to his big family, which includes the cute gay couple pictured above. He writes:

We've had an incredible year...the worldwide response to our proposal video was more than we ever could have imagined, and we're beyond grateful. With Valentine's Day approaching, Isaac got inspired to make another video. This time, he wanted to do something that might honor the relationships that made his life possible, and the family that has helped him achieve his dreams (not the least of which was proposing to Amy!) We hope you enjoy it and we thank you for the spectacular ride we've been on!

It's definitely one of the sweetest family tributes we've ever seen.
