Adam Lambert and Boyfriend Sauli Koskinen Split

Lambert

Adam Lambert has split with his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen, South Florida Gay News reports:

“It’s been kind of on its way out in the last couple of months,” Lambert told SFGN.

Koskinen is a Finnish entertainment reporter, television host and radio personality. He rose to fame after winning his country’s version of Big Brother in 2007.

Lambert emphasized though the two are close and will continue to remain friends.

“Sauli and I remain really good friends, and I know it’s a cliché thing to say. But it’s totally true,” he said. “I just gave him a coffee and bagel earlier today. He’s a great person and we’ve had an amazing couple of years together. Things have just run their course.”

Lambert is headlining this year's Miami Beach Gay Pride on April 14.

Adam Lambert to Headline Miami Beach Gay Pride

Adam Lambert will be headlining this year's Miami Beach Gay Pride on April 14, according to organizers:

LambertAs one of the first Pride events of the year, Miami Beach Gay Pride is extremely excited to have Lambert as part of the fifth annual celebration, said Babak Movahedi, chair of the Pride board of directors.  “In five short years, Miami Beach Gay Pride has gone from a neighborhood event to an event on the global stage. The fact that someone of Adam Lambert’s caliber is enthusiastic about performing at Miami Beach Gay Pride speaks volumes about the significance of our events,” he said.

In addition to Lambert’s participation, Movahedi said the diverse, week-long line-up of Pride activities speaks to the rising popularity of the event.  “Pride is a celebration for the whole community,” Movahedi said.  “It’s gratifying to realize that Miami Beach Gay Pride has grown so exponentially and attracts not only locals but also visitors who travel here to experience our Pride.”

Lambert is scheduled to take the Main Stage in Lummus Park just off Ocean Drive between 11th and 12th Streets. His performance is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

1NewsIcon The New York Times' Charles M. Blow on the GOP's plans to discard the winner-take-all system that has been favoring Democrats: "One day I will have to visit the evil lair where they come up with these schemes. They pump them out like a factory. Voter suppression didn’t work in November, and it may even have backfired in some states, so they just devised another devilish plan."

BalkanizeAmerica1NewsIcon Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, an anti-gay Republican, also opposes the measure: "I think winner-take-all is part of how a state matters. Our side would have gotten more votes this go-around but you know I want people to want to fight to win the whole state. It makes the state as a state matter more... We need to build them up and not to Balkanize America. It's the states that created the federal government and not the other way around."
