This Documentary Film Chronicling the Surreal Life of Celebrity Impersonators Will Have You Seeing Stars: VIDEO

With every celebrity comes hundreds of impersonators and look-a-likes.

"There's a statistic somewhere in the world that says you have approximately two dozen to thirty-six doppelgangers in the world," states Bill Clinton impersonator Dale Leigh in the new film Just About Famous. The documentary, which recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign and is currently making its way through the film festival circuit, chronicles the surreal life of Leigh and other celebrity impersonators as they converge at the annual Sunburst Convention for Celebrity Tribute Artists in Orlando, Florida.

The film features some spot on impersonations of Elvis, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga, KISS, Madonna, Hugh Hefner, Barack Obama, Whoopi Goldberg, Dame Enda Everage, Britney Spears, and other A-listers.

Whoopi Goldberg on Rumors About Her Sexuality – ‘I Don’t Care!’

Whoopi_Goldberg_New_York_City_No_on_Proposition_8_protestIn an interview with Between the Lines News, comedian-actress Whoopi Goldberg reflected on her longstanding relationship with the LGBT community, saying that in her early career “nobody wanted me but the gay community.”

Goldberg also addressed the public’s longstanding speculation about her sexuality:

…it's like, there are a lot worse things people could have accused me of - things that would really be upsetting! [Questions about my sexuality are] not one of them. It never has been. I grew up in the theater. I grew up in a neighborhood where there was always gay folks. Always! So I never understood people's freak out about it. Everybody is so damn paranoid about everything. They're so concerned that (people) are gonna be like, "Oh, somebody's gonna think I'm gay." So what! What happens if they do?

Ultimately, Goldberg said that because she was an early ally for the LGBT community many people just automatically assumed she was gay herself:

It was ridiculous. I was like, "Uh, no." People just didn't understand. You see bad situations or stupid situations, like folks having an issue with who you cared about, who you wanna be with, all that kind of stuff that has nothing to do with the realities of our world. The realities of the world I grew up in was: It was nobody's business. If you're not doing your job, then I'm gonna bitch. But I'm not gonna bitch at anybody 'cause they're gay, or because they weigh a lot more than me. At the time, it just seemed so stupid to me that this was what people's issues were.

The View Takes On Homophobic Virginia Gubernatorial Candidate Ken Cuccinelli: VIDEO

Towleroad has already reported on Virginia State Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli, and his extensive history of ignorant and homophobic remarks. Luckily, Cuccinelli's comments have not gone unnoticed by members of the media, and have received extensive criticism from news pundits and entertainers alike.

This morning, the ladies of The View joined the growing list of media personalities criticizing Cuccinelli and his outdated rhetoric. After congratulating Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson on his recent marriage, co-host Whoopi Goldberg quickly outlined the Virginia AG's goal to reinstate a "Crimes Against Nature Law," which would make such acts as oral and anal sex between consenting adults a felony. "Why are you in my bedroom? Get out!" shouted Goldberg, a long time supporter of LGBT rights. Barbara Walters added, "What he does is he automatically equates oral sex with homosexuality." "Well then I'm gayer than a gay 2 dollar bill..." added Sherri Shepherd, a co-host who hasn't always seen eye-to-eye with LGBT rights advocates. Joy Behar had perhaps the most amusing quip to offer: “he wants the government on my back and my husband off of it.”

Whoopi Goldberg Rips Michele Bachmann and the 'Marriage Vow': VIDEO

Whoopi Goldberg ripped Michele Bachmann this morning for signing "The Marriage Vow -- A Declaration of Dependence Upon Marriage and Family", a requirement for earning the Iowa conservative group The Family Leader's endorsement. The pledge also requires opposition to Sharia law and banning pornography.

The document also contained this statement, which was removed over outrage:

"Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African American baby born after the election of the USA's first African-American President."

Ranted Whoopi Goldberg on this morning's View: "Dammit, I am sick of this crap!"
