With a final SCOTUS ruling on same-sex marriage in sight, Right Wing Watch has compiled a handy supercut of GOP presidential hopefuls making clear their opposition to marriage equality.
The video includes Rick Santorum claiming that “traditional” marriage is water while same-sex marriage is only a glass of beer, Ted Cruz denouncing “extreme” attacks on “religious freedom” by gay rights activists, Ben Carson claiming that gay people deserve the same rights as everybody else except the “right to redefine marriage” and Jeb Bush calmly assuring people that he is not in any way “moderate.”
In recent days, Mike Huckabee signed a pledge branding same-sex parents a “destructive…threat to society” and Rick Santorum announced he would continue to fight same-sex marriage regardless of any SCOTUS ruling.
